My niece LOVES penguins. For her sixth birthday she wanted to have a penguin party. I was thrilled when my sister asked me to design a few things for it.
The girls enjoyed dressing up to have penguin races, ice fishing and waddling around doing a penguin dance. After the games they sewed penguin purses and made penguin dress up dolls. The party ended with yummy cake and ice cream. Each guest left with a penguin purse, dress up doll and a tasty treat in a penguin pillow box.
You can find all the designs used for this party in my Silhouette store available to download and create yourself.
Hi Amy,
I LOVE your lace-up Valentine cards! They are a perfect activity for my Daisy Girl Scouts to do at our Valentine Party this year. I am hoping you will make more of them. I would love to see some that could be used at a Tea Party. And some for Easter. I remember these from when I was a little girl, I think this is how I first learned to sew.
Hugs,
Chriss
Hi Amy, I just purchased the lace up Bee Valentines from your silhouette store, they’re beautiful! I am very new to the silhouette and I am wondering if you can tell me, or direct me to someone can tell me how to print and cut these properly?? I am sorry to bother you, I have been looking everywhere and can’t figure it out.
Thank you!!
Katrina
Hi Katrina
I’m so glad you love the Valentine. They were all so fun to make. Silhouette blog has a lot of great tutorials and creative inspiration. Here’s a link to several print and cut tutorials I think you’ll find useful.
Hi Amy,
I need help. I just purchased the Print and cut valentine kisses. What is sticker paper? Is it regular label paper from office supply store? I didn’t see it on silhouette store.
Please help! In a panic on time.
Thanks
Kristi
Hi Kristi
You can find sticker paper in the Silhouette store under the category Specialty Media.
You can also find in office supply stores and online. There are several brands. I know Avery makes some. It’s just like a full sheet label. I hope that helps.
Amy
Oh thank you for the quick response. I was going to have to move forward without using the file I purchased due to time. So Is that the same as an avery label full sheet? I just dont want to use something in my machine and mess it up. I will purchase from Silhouette store, however, I am in a time pinch and wondered if I could use my avery label sheet in my machine for this time.
I just re-read your comment. I think I got it.
Thanks
How did you make the penguin on the straw rather how is it secured
I just used a hot glue gun to attach the penguins to the straws. Just be careful not to melt the straws if you’re using plastic ones. Glue dots work well too.
Love this idea so cute. Any ideas for an owl party perhaps? My best-friend’s little girl is turning 4 and wants an owl party :)
