Growth Chart

Today is the final day of the Silhouette vinyl promotion. Let’s finish things off with a growth chart tutorial.

When setting up the growth chart in Silhouette Studio, I added other shapes I wanted cut in the empty space of the chart. This way I could get more out of my roll of vinyl, especially because my growth chart uses 6.5 ft of it.  Supplies:

• Silhouette Premium Vinyl + Transfer Paper
• Growth Chart die cut
• Wood board cut to length
• Paint

Instructions:

1. Paint wood board and set aside to dry. Cut Growth Chart die cut out of vinyl using your Silhouette machine. Peel  or cut away any shapes that don’t require transfer paper.
2. Peel away vinyl in the negative space of your die cuts. Only the vinyl that is part of your design should be left.
3. Apply transfer paper to vinyl sheet. Rub over entire area eliminating any bubbles. Cut out extra designs that are not part of the growth chart.
4. *TIP* If you are going to place your growth chart on the wall above molding, be sure to add in the length of your moulding so that your growth chart measures correctly once secured to the wall. My base molding is 5″ so I used a ruler to mark where my vinyl needed to start.
5. Peel the backing off the vinyl and adhere to your painted board.
6. Peel off top transfer paper slowly making sure your vinyl design sticks to the board.

Here are three more vinyl projects I did. They each took me about 5 minutes. So easy! Remember, every project used this week all came from the same roll of vinyl and I still have two feet left! I was shocked at how much I could get out of one roll.
