I wanted to give you all a closer look at some of the Valentines for kids with some tips and tricks. Like I said before, I picked up just about everything at the dollar store.
Have a Ball this Valentine’s Day!
These ping pong balls had 12 in the package for $1. I pulled the hearts from the tag and using Temporary Tattoo Paper decorated the ping pong balls to coordinate with the tags. It was so fast and easy, I think I’ll try it out on more surfaces with future projects. Just follow the instructions on the back of the package.
Love is in the Air + Don’t Burst my Bubble
My little boys think balloons and bubbles are the coolest thing ever right now. I made these next two Valentines specifically with them in mind. You can tie a balloon to the tag for kids taking them to school, or inflate them and give them to family and friends at home.
This is one of my favorites of all the tags because you can use it with so many different toys or candies. I’ve shown it with art supplies and Rainbow Loom bracelets, but you could also use colored candy like Skittles and m&m’s. This would also make a great teacher gift. Tie it to a bouquet of dry erase markers or Sharpies.
This Valentine works great with little musical toys like the flute above. This would also work well for teens. You could attach it to an iTunes gift card.
This is another Valentine that works well for classmates and teachers. You could use pens, colored pencils or skinny markers. Again, I picked up a pack of these Valentine pencils at the dollar store. A very inexpensive gift with a big impact.
Use the adorable rock candy pictured above, or the fun pop rocks that pop in your mouth. This could also be given with an iTunes gift card or something similar for rock music.
You Rule Valentine + You’re Sweet!
These ruler and sucker Valentines are so simple and cheap. You just slide the tag over the gift and you don’t have to worry about ribbons or any other fuss. It’s so easy your kids can make them all. That’s the best part if you ask me!
I love these little treasure box envelopes that hold chocolate gold coins. You can fill them with other little treasures too. Maybe some small dress up jewelry, or a candy necklace? Do you have any other gifts or different ways of using the tags above? I’d love to hear.
