I love making treat boxes and this candy wrapper box is one of my favorites. This is the perfect one for those times when you need to make a lot. It has very few pieces and doesn’t require a lot of candy to fill it. The ends twist shut just like wrappers on candy really do. Check out the tutorial below to see how it’s made.

Supplies Needed:

Instructions:

  1. Cut out the Candy Wrapper Box and label on the Silhouette. I used the Silhouette Sketch Pens to write “thanks” on mine before cutting it out and glueing it on my box. Fold box in half and glue together along tab.
  2. Pinch the ends in along perforated lines. Fill with candy. Twist ends in opposite directions to close.
  3. After twisting, spread the ends of the box open to hold the ends in place.
  4. Finish each box with ribbons on both ends, or any other embellishments you would like to add.

  1. Love your designs. I wish you could include the dimesions of the photo shown to give a better idea on the default size. Thanks for the tutorial.

    1. Lovely box! I would like to purchase it for my Silhouette Portrait. What size is it? Will it fit on my Portrait?

      1. This box can be scaled to any size. The size shown in the sample will fit to cut on your Silhouette Portrait. The provided cut file measures 5 1/2″x5 3/4″ flat and 1 1/4″ x 5 3/4″ folded. I hope that helps.

  2. Hello dear Amy, bought the template candy wrapper box in Silhouette design store.
I saw your tutorial how to mount the box, but could not mount. You have other clearer instructions? I’m having trouble on the tips. :(

    1. Hi Bruna

It may help to fold along all the score lines at the ends that will twist close. As I’m twisting them close, I hold the box at each end so that my fingers are pinching in all the sides of each end. Then slightly twist and you’ll feel the box fold along the score lines. Email me if you are still having trouble and I’ll see if I can explain it better. arobison10(at)gmail(dot)com
